Intervention against protected wild orchids in Sinop
In Sinop, an unauthorized attempt to sell wild orchids, which are under threat of extinction, was prevented. Administrative action was taken against one individual regarding the incident.
The Sinop Municipality Police Department teams took action following a report that wild orchids (salep) were being sold in the city center. During inspections conducted at the marketplace, it was determined that an individual was selling wild orchids without authorization inside a bag.

Authorities confiscated the orchids to protect nature and initiated the necessary administrative proceedings against the person selling them without permission. This intervention is considered an important step for the conservation of endemic species in the region.
