For the first time in months, the total amount of water in Istanbul's dams is hovering above 50 percent. Recent rainfall in the megacity has increased water levels in the dams, bringing the water occupancy rate to 52.9 percent.
Furthermore, dam occupancy rates in the city had previously dropped to as low as 16 percent due to the arid summer season.
