According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the country will be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent showers and thunderstorms expected in the Aegean (except Kütahya), Mediterranean, Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia (except Van and Hakkari), and Southeastern Anatolia, as well as in the surroundings of Karaman, Niğde, Konya, Kayseri, Sivas, Ordu, and Tokat. Rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Denizli, Aydın, Kayseri, and Sivas, as well as in the western parts of Burdur and the inner parts of western Antalya. Haze and occasional fog are expected in the south and east of Central Anatolia, the inner parts of the Western Black Sea, the Central and Eastern Black Sea, and Eastern Anatolia during the morning and night hours. Dust transport is expected in the southeast of Eastern Anatolia and in Southeastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are expected to remain around seasonal norms, and locally below seasonal norms in the northern and inner parts.

Winds are expected to blow from the north and northeast, generally light to occasionally moderate, and are expected to be strong and reach storm force (40-80 km/h) on the coasts of Marmara and the Northern Aegean.

YELLOW ALERT FOR 13 CITIES

In the MGM report, a yellow alert was issued for Istanbul, Kocaeli, Bursa, Sakarya, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Zonguldak, Bartın, Yalova, and Düzce.
