Heat and wind warning from the Meteorological Service

The assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology have been released.

Accordingly, the northern and eastern parts of the country, and over time the southwestern parts, are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms expected in the Central and Eastern Black Sea coasts (except Samsun), Artvin, Gaziantep, and the eastern coasts of Muğla, while other areas are expected to be mostly clear and sunny.

AIR TEMPERATURE: No significant change is expected in air temperatures. They are expected to continue to hover 5 to 10 degrees above seasonal norms.

WIND: It is expected to blow generally from the north, and from the south in the Eastern Mediterranean and the west of Southeastern Anatolia, light to occasionally moderate in strength. It is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from the north and northeast in the southwest of the Marmara region and the North Aegean coasts, with occasional short-term storms (60-80 km/h) in higher elevations.
