Meteorology issues warning: Fog, haze, heavy rain, dust transport....
The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has released the weather report for May 21. Warnings have been issued for fog, haze, heavy rainfall, and dust transport across the country, including the Marmara region.
According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the country is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms expected in the Eastern Mediterranean, the south of Central Anatolia, the east of Southeastern Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia, the north and east of Ankara, and the surroundings of Afyonkarahisar, Kırıkkale, Çankırı, and Karabük.
The rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in Hakkari, the south and east of Van, the east of Şırnak, and the northern and eastern parts of Muş and Bitlis provinces. Dust transport is expected in the south of Marmara, the Aegean, and the Western Mediterranean.
DUST TRANSPORT WARNING
Since dust transport is expected in the south of Marmara, the Aegean, and the Western Mediterranean, caution and measures should be taken against negative effects such as reduced visibility, decreased air quality, and disruptions in transportation.
