Meteorology issues warning: Showers expected in many provinces including Istanbul

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM); it is estimated that the northern parts of the country and the Mediterranean will be partly to occasionally very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms expected in the Taurus Mountains region of the Mediterranean, the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, the surroundings of Artvin, Kars, and Ardahan, as well as the northern coasts of Istanbul, Kırklareli, and Kocaeli provinces, while other areas are expected to be mostly clear and sunny.

Air temperatures are not expected to change significantly and are forecast to generally remain above seasonal norms.

The wind is expected to blow generally from northerly directions, and from southerly and easterly directions in the southern and eastern parts, light to occasionally moderate, and strong (40-60 km/h) from the north and northeast in the southwest of Marmara and the North Aegean.

It is estimated to be mostly clear and sunny, with northern parts partly cloudy, and local showers expected on the northern coasts of Istanbul, Kırklareli, and Kocaeli provinces. The wind is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km/h) from the north and northeast in the southwest of the region.
