The General Directorate of Meteorology has published the weather forecast report for Tuesday, December 31.

It is estimated that the country will be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers expected in the Eastern Black Sea coast and the surroundings of Ordu. Haze and fog are expected in the inner and eastern parts of our country, along with icing and frost. There is a risk of avalanches on the high and steep slopes of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the east of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are not expected to change significantly and are predicted to remain around seasonal norms.

WHEN WILL IT SNOW IN ISTANBUL?

Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen said, "My year-end and New Year's weather forecast remains the same; there is no precipitation in Turkey. Therefore, there is no snow. Those waiting for snow that will settle on the ground in Marmara, including Istanbul, will have to wait for January 9-10."
