According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers expected in the south and east of Marmara, the coastal Aegean, the Black Sea, the north of Ankara, the coasts of Hatay, Sivas, Çankırı, Antalya, Adana, Osmaniye, Ardahan, and Kars, and sleet expected in the high altitudes of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the northeast of Eastern Anatolia. The rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in the northeast of Marmara, the Western Black Sea, and the surroundings of Samsun.

Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 3 to 5 degrees in Marmara and the Western Black Sea, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

The wind is generally expected to blow from southerly directions, light to occasionally moderate in strength.

YELLOW ALERT FOR 12 CITIES

In the MGM report, a yellow alert was issued for Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Bursa, Düzce, Yalova, Bolu, Kastamonu, Zonguldak, Bartın, Sinop, and Karabük. It was emphasized that precautions should be taken against negative conditions such as floods, water inundation, and lightning due to heavy rainfall and wind.
