While U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to travel to California this coming Friday, a new fire broke out early today (January 23) near the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles. The fire, which first started on Wednesday in the Hughes area north of Los Angeles, grew rapidly, engulfing more than 10,000 acres of land.
California officials have issued evacuation orders for more than 50,000 people.
According to a report by Forbes, the newly ignited fires have spread to three separate regions north of Los Angeles. As firefighting crews work to bring the blazes under control, it was stated that the new fires have destroyed 10,000 acres of land. The report also included information that the fires are ongoing.

In an interview with Fox News, President Donald Trump blamed the state's 'environmental policies developed against water scarcity' for the growth of the fire and threatened to cut off federal disaster funds to California.
California officials have maintained that they are doing everything in their power to combat the fires.
In his interview, Trump stated, 'I think we shouldn't give anything to California until they let the water flow.'

TRUMP BLAMES DEMOCRATS FOR THE FIRES
The Los Angeles Fire Department stated that it was able to halt the progress of the Sepulveda Fire, which covered 40 acres near the Getty Center and the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles. Nevertheless, Trump emphasized in statements throughout the week that the Democratic administration in California is responsible for the fires.
Commenting on the situation in Los Angeles during his inauguration speech, President Donald Trump described the impact of the fires on 'some of the wealthiest and most powerful individuals in the country' as follows: 'They don't have a home anymore. That's interesting.'
Announcing that he would visit California on Friday, Trump had said, 'We will bring in some of the best builders in the world to restore this place to its former state.'
According to the City of Los Angeles, the cost of the fires has reached 385 million dollars so far.
