Call from Northern Forests Defense regarding 'Çatalca': 'Stop this massacre'
The Northern Forests Defense has announced that mining companies are destroying forests near the coast in Çatalca to extract sand, and has issued a call to the Ministry of Environment.
The Northern Forests Defense revealed the destruction in the Çatalca Forests in a post shared on its social media account.

It was announced that mining companies are destroying forests where the forest meets the sea to extract sand and to create paths for excavation trucks.
CALL TO THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT
The statement included the following expressions:
"Look at the state they have brought our Çatalca Ormanlı coasts to, which would be too precious to even step on in another country.
Mining companies are plundering our unique coastline, which has formed over thousands of years, to extract sand.
How can you allow the coasts of the Northern Forests to be destroyed like this? Stop this destruction!
We are calling out to the Ministry of Environment, which says it will put an end to coastal occupations.
They are digging up our Ormanlı Village coasts with excavators and tearing down the forest so that excavation trucks can pass through.
We have no treasure more valuable than this sea-coast-forest unity that has formed over thousands of years.
Stop this massacre!"
