Northern Forests destroyed for Sakarya City Hospital! 300 decares of land cleared

The City Hospital project currently under construction in Sakarya has sparked environmental controversy. It has been reported that approximately 300 decares of land in the Northern Forests have been cleared for the hospital construction.

While it is stated that thousands of trees have been cut down in the region, it is also alleged that the forest area remaining around the hospital has begun to be destroyed as part of "access road" works.

Environmental organizations argue that the destruction of forest areas for the construction of a hospital built for urban health creates a contradiction. Experts point out that the forests are of vital importance to the region in terms of water resources, air quality, and the ecosystem.
