Postcard-perfect views: Sırakayalar Waterfall in Bayburt freezes over
In Bayburt, where temperatures have dropped to minus 15 degrees, the frozen Sırakayalar Waterfall has created a scene that looks like a postcard.
In Bayburt, the Sırakayalar Waterfall, which originates from the foothills of the Divanyolu Mountains and Kırklar Hill and cascades down about 20 meters from the Kopuz Stream, has frozen over.

The Sırakayalar Waterfall, which forms after gathering in the Komönü and Başçayırlar locations of Yaylalar village following its origin from the foothills of the Divanyolu Mountains and Kırklar Hill, and then flows down 20 meters via the Kopuz Stream, takes on a unique beauty in every season.

Located in Bayburt, on the historic Silk Road route between the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions, the waterfall is one of the region's important spots for nature tourism and is situated 16 kilometers from the city center.

While the Sırakayalar Waterfall hosts nature lovers in the spring and summer with its ice-cold water and natural beauty, it dazzles with its magnificent appearance in the winter season.

The icicles that have formed on the Sırakayalar Waterfall, which froze due to the snowfall and cold weather effective in the region in recent days, exceed 10 meters in length and offer breathtaking views.
