Red-backed shrike rehabilitated in Erzurum released back into the wild

Citizens who spotted the bird lying motionless on the ground in the city center informed the teams of the Nature Conservation and National Parks (DKMP) Erzurum Branch Directorate.

The bird, identified as a red-backed shrike by veterinarian Selçuk Albayrak working at the DKMP, was taken under protection.

Following an examination, it was determined that the bird had no health issues but was exhausted; after being fed and cared for, it was released into its natural habitat.

Albayrak stated that they were instrumental in saving another life that they had cared for and fed with affection, and thanked the citizens who reported seeing exhausted or injured wild animals in nature.
