Scorching heat begins in Istanbul: Thermometers to hit 33 degrees
According to the AKOM report, no precipitation is expected in Istanbul throughout the week. Temperatures are forecast to rise up to 33 degrees.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Department of Disaster Coordination (AKOM) has released its weekly weather forecast report for July 5. According to the report, no precipitation is expected in the city in the coming week, and the weather is forecast to be mostly clear and slightly cloudy.
Temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal norms throughout the week. According to the forecasts, temperatures in Istanbul will rise to 29 degrees on Monday, 30 degrees on Tuesday, 31 degrees on Wednesday, 30 degrees on Thursday, 32 degrees on Friday, and 33 degrees on Saturday.

In its assessment, AKOM stated that the northeasterly wind (Poyraz) blowing from northern directions will be strong at times until Tuesday. The wind is forecast to reach speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour in some areas.
It was noted that while the strong northeasterly wind may slightly reduce the impact of the sweltering heat, temperatures are expected to remain in the 30-32 degree range throughout the week.
The report announced morning temperatures at 24 degrees, midday at 29 degrees, evening at 24 degrees, and nighttime at 22 degrees. It was reported that humidity levels will vary between 40 and 80 percent, and the sea water temperature will be 24 degrees.
