The critical situation in Istanbul's dams has changed

The rainfall that has been effective in Istanbul has had a positive impact on the city's water resources. According to the latest data released by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the average occupancy rate in the dams has reached 54.69 percent.

Occupancy rates, which had dropped below 20 percent during the dry months of November and December, have gradually increased with the rainfall that intensified after the new year. The rate, which was measured at 22.01 percent on January 12, has more than doubled by the end of March.

DAMS WITH THE HIGHEST AND LOWEST LEVELS

According to the data, the dam with the highest occupancy rate in Istanbul is Istrancalar with 94.75 percent, while the lowest level was recorded at Pabuçdere with 29.67 percent.
