According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM); the northern and inner parts of the country are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms expected in the north and east of Marmara, the northeast of the Aegean, the Lakes Region, the Eastern Mediterranean, the south and northeast of Central Anatolia, the Black Sea, and the north and west of Eastern Anatolia, while other areas are expected to be slightly cloudy and clear.

Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the Western Black Sea (except Bolu), the inner parts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, the Taurus Mountains area of the Eastern Mediterranean, the northern coasts of Istanbul, the surroundings of Kocaeli and Sakarya, and the eastern districts of Sivas.

HEAVY PRECIPITATION WARNING

Since precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the Western Black Sea (except Bolu), the inner parts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, the Taurus Mountains area of the Eastern Mediterranean, the northern coasts of Istanbul, the surroundings of Kocaeli and Sakarya, and the eastern districts of Sivas, it is necessary to be careful and take precautions against potential negative effects such as flash floods, flooding, lightning, local hail, and strong winds during precipitation.

MARMARA

It is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms in the northern and eastern parts. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy on the northern coasts of Istanbul and in the surroundings of Kocaeli and Sakarya. The wind is expected to blow strongly from northerly directions for short periods (30-50 km/h) on the Black Sea coasts of the region.
