What remains of the burned Aydos Forest
It was stated that 4 hectares of land were damaged in the fire that broke out in the Pendik Aydos Forest.
A fire broke out in the Pendik Aydos Forest on July 21, 2024.
A total of 78 teams and 159 personnel, including fire department, AFAD, and police units, responded to the fire, which spread to a large part of the forest in a short time.
2 firefighting aircraft and 4 helicopters provided aerial support to extinguish the fire.
As a result of the teams' 3-hour intervention, the flames were brought under control, while 4 hectares of forest land were damaged due to the fire.
The final state of the forest area damaged in the fire was captured from the air by a drone.
