What will the weather be like in Turkey during Ramadan Bayram?

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki evaluated the weather forecast report for Ramadan Bayram prepared by the General Directorate of Meteorology.

Stating that air temperatures across the country will hover around or, in some places, below seasonal norms throughout the week, Özhaseki warned citizens who will be traveling during the holiday to drive carefully and to take into account the advisories of the General Directorate of Meteorology.

Minister Özhaseki stated, "It is estimated that air temperatures in our country will hover around or, in some places, below seasonal norms throughout the week, and that there will be intermittent showers and thunderstorms across the country during the 9-day holiday. I wish our entire nation a happy Ramadan Bayram in advance and hope that it will be a holiday we spend together with our loved ones."

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE DURING RAMADAN BAYRAM?

According to the weather forecast report prepared by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is estimated that on the first day of the holiday, the inner parts of the Mediterranean, the south and east of Central Anatolia, the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea, and the surroundings of Hatay; on the second day, the east of the inner Aegean, the inner and Eastern Mediterranean, the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea, and Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia; and on the third day, the inner Aegean, the inner parts of the Mediterranean, the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, as well as the surroundings of Muğla, Adana, Hatay, Osmaniye, Balıkesir, and Bursa will experience showers and thunderstorms, while other areas will be partly cloudy.

Throughout the holiday, temperatures are expected to range between 1 and 9 degrees at night and 16 and 27 degrees during the day.

ANKARA, ISTANBUL, AND IZMIR TO BE PARTLY CLOUDY

According to the weather forecasts for the holiday, Ankara will generally be partly cloudy, with very cloudy, rainy, and thundery weather on Friday, with daily high temperatures between 17-25 degrees.

Istanbul will generally be partly cloudy, with very cloudy, rainy, and thundery weather on Sunday, with daily high temperatures between 18-24 degrees.

Izmir will generally be partly cloudy, with very cloudy weather on Sunday and showers and thunderstorms in its inner parts, with daily high temperatures between 23-27 degrees.
