When will the weather warm up? Expert provides a date

Mehmet Özdemirci, a weather forecasting expert at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change's General Directorate of Meteorology, provided an assessment regarding the weather forecast for the coming week.

Stating that nighttime temperatures will drop in the interior parts of the country tonight and tomorrow, Özdemirci said, "We expect the temperature in Ankara to drop to 2 degrees tonight. We will also see sub-zero temperatures in some districts and higher elevations. We are warning citizens about agricultural frost for the next 2 days."

Noting that thunderstorms will be effective in the eastern regions starting from the beginning of the week, Özdemirci said that tomorrow's precipitation will be heavy in provinces other than Van and Erzincan.

Expressing that the precipitation will continue to be effective in the eastern region on Tuesday as well, Özdemirci said, "These rains will be heavy in the vicinity of Hakkari, Şırnak, Batman, Siirt, Mardin, and Bingöl."

Stating that partly cloudy and clear weather will prevail in the western regions of the country throughout the week, Özdemirci said, "Temperatures are currently below seasonal norms. Starting from Tuesday, temperatures will increase, beginning from the western regions."

Reporting that no precipitation will be seen in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir for 3 days, Özdemirci noted that partly cloudy and clear weather will generally prevail in these provinces.

Weather Forecasting Expert Özdemirci also drew attention to the fact that the country will enter the influence of a new precipitation system after Friday, sharing the information that, "We will experience quite rainy weather across the country next weekend."
