According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation expected in Marmara, the Aegean, Western Mediterranean, Western Black Sea, the interior of the Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia (except Van, Hakkari, and Şırnak), the eastern part of Southeastern Anatolia, as well as the surroundings of Ankara, Eskişehir, Çankırı, Sivas, Kayseri, Ordu, Giresun, Şanlıurfa, and the western parts of Trabzon. Precipitation is expected to be in the form of sleet and snow in Thrace, the high altitudes of the interior of the Western Black Sea, and the high altitudes of northern Eastern Anatolia; and in the form of rain and showers in other areas receiving precipitation. The precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in Marmara, the Aegean coast, and the surroundings of Manisa, Ardahan, Kars, Erzurum, Tunceli, Muş, and Bingöl. The wind is expected to blow as a strong and short-term storm (40-70 km/h) from the north and northeast in Marmara, from the west and northwest on the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, and from the south and southwest in the interior of the Aegean and Mediterranean, the south and east of Central Anatolia, the interior of the Black Sea, and the north of Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 3 to 5 degrees in Marmara, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

A yellow alert has been issued for Aydın, Balıkesir, Bursa, Çanakkale, Edirne, Istanbul, İzmir, Kırklareli, Manisa, and Tekirdağ.

The precipitation, expected to be generally rain and showers, and sleet and snow in the surroundings of Edirne and Kırklareli, is expected to be locally heavy.
