The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that temperatures across the country will drop by 4 to 6 degrees, with precipitation expected to be locally heavy in many regions. While rain, snow, and downpours are expected, particularly in the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions, warnings have been issued against strong winds, icing, frost, and avalanche risks. According to the assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation across the country, except for the Aegean coasts and the surroundings of Antalya and Edirne. Precipitation is expected to be in the form of rain and downpours in the Eastern Mediterranean, Black Sea coasts, Southeastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Kocaeli, Yalova, Sakarya, Manisa, and Denizli, and in the form of sleet and snow in other areas receiving precipitation. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, the surroundings of Ordu and Siirt, and the northern parts of Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, and Batman. Icing and frost are expected in the inner and eastern regions during the morning and night hours. There is a risk of avalanches and snowmelt in the high, sloping areas with deep snow cover in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the east of Eastern Anatolia.
Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 4 to 6 degrees across the country.
The wind is expected to blow from the north in the western parts and from the south in the eastern regions, light to occasionally moderate, and strong with short-term storms (40-70 km/h) from the north in the coastal Aegean, Mediterranean, the south and east of Central Anatolia, and the Central Black Sea coasts, and from the south in the southeast of Eastern Anatolia and the east of Southeastern Anatolia.
