According to forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation in the east of the Marmara region (except Bilecik), the Eastern Mediterranean, the north and east of Central Anatolia, the Western and Central Black Sea, the west of Southeastern Anatolia, the surroundings of Balıkesir and Giresun, and the east of Kırklareli and Tekirdağ. Precipitation is expected to be in the form of rain in the Eastern Mediterranean coasts, Central Black Sea coasts, and the surroundings of Kilis and Mardin, and in the form of sleet and snow in other areas receiving precipitation. The precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Amasya and Kayseri, the inner parts of Samsun, the eastern districts of Yozgat, and the western districts of Tokat and Sivas. Icing and frost are expected in the inner and eastern parts during the morning and night hours, along with mist and occasional fog. There is a risk of avalanches on the high slopes of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are not expected to change significantly and will continue to hover below seasonal norms.

A yellow-coded warning has been issued for Amasya, Kayseri, Samsun, Sivas, Tokat, and Yozgat.

SNOWFALL BEGINS IN ISTANBUL

According to the assessments of the Meteorology, snowfall will begin to take effect in the northern and western districts of Istanbul (Çatalca, Silivri, Arnavutköy, Beykoz, Sarıyer) starting from the evening hours. The Istanbul Governor's Office announced that the snowfall is expected to continue across the province from Tuesday evening until Wednesday noon. The Governor's Office has called on citizens to be cautious and careful.
