The General Communiqué on the Tax Procedure Law, prepared by the Revenue Administration of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, has been published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, the revaluation rate for 2024 has been determined as 43.93 percent. 12punto columnist Prof. Dr. Duran Bülbül had stated in an interview with 12punto, "The name of the revaluation rate is inflation."
The General Communiqué on the Tax Procedure Law, prepared by the Revenue Administration of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, has been published in the Official Gazette.
The communiqué stated that, in accordance with the Tax Procedure Law, the revaluation rate is the average price increase rate that occurred in the Turkish Statistical Institute's Domestic Producer Price Index compared to the same period of the previous year in October of the year in which the revaluation is to be made (including October), and that this rate must be announced by the Ministry via the Official Gazette.

In this context, it was noted that the revaluation rate for 2024 has been determined as 43.93 percent.
REAL INFLATION
12punto columnist Prof. Dr. Duran Bülbül, while stating "The name of the revaluation rate is inflation," had said that the revaluation rate should be taken as a basis for the raise in January.
Drawing attention to the inflation announced by TURKSTAT, Prof. Dr. Bülbül said, "It means that wages will be below 48 percent.
This will bring further impoverishment. The minimum wage will be around 30 percent," he had expressed.
While noting that the raise to be made to the minimum wage would be around 5 thousand TL, Prof. Dr. Bülbül had also said regarding the minimum wage that should be, "The minimum wage should not fall below 34 thousand TL."
