171 thousand 640 candidates will take the ALES exam on Sunday

The exam will be held in 6,760 halls across 81 provinces, using 486 buildings. The exam will begin at 10:15, and candidates will not be admitted to the exam buildings after 10:00.

In a statement regarding the exam, ÖSYM President Bayram Ali Ersoy said, "We will conduct the third of the Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exams, which we hold three times a year, on Sunday in 81 provinces. The scores obtained by the candidates will be used for admission to postgraduate education, for the selection of candidates to be sent abroad for postgraduate education, and for engineering completion programs for technical teachers."

Veterans and the spouses and children of martyrs and veterans are exempt from the exam fee

ÖSYM President Ersoy stated, "Veterans and the spouses and children of martyrs and veterans who applied for the exam were exempted from the exam fee. 1,240 candidates benefited from this right. In addition, 651 disabled candidates will participate in the exam. Necessary arrangements have been made and measures have been taken for our disabled candidates."

In the exam, candidates will be given numerical and verbal tests consisting of 50 questions each. Disabled candidates who have been granted additional time for the 150-minute exam will be able to use their 30 minutes of extra time.

Civil registry offices will be open until 10:00

For candidates who have lost their identity cards, do not have an identity card, or whose identity card does not contain an identification number and photograph, provincial and district civil registry offices will remain open until 10:00 on the day of the exam.

Exam results will be announced on December 6. The results will be valid for 5 years from the date they are announced.
