5 new lawsuits filed against US rapper Diddy

Famous US producer and rapper Sean John Combs, known by his stage names 'Diddy' and 'Puff Daddy', is being tried on charges of "sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, holding captive, arson, drug possession, bribery, and obstruction of justice." According to court documents obtained by NBC News, 5 new lawsuits have been filed against Combs.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents the sexual assault and abuse allegations against Sean John Combs, has filed 5 new lawsuits against the famous rapper. The files of the lawsuits filed by Buzbee state that 5 people, 2 men and 3 women, were sexually abused and raped by Combs between 2000 and 2022.

The files allege that Sean John Combs drugged and sexually abused or raped 4 of these individuals, and it is stated that one of these victims was 13 years old at the time.

Attorney Tony Buzbee announced that he plans to file a total of 7 lawsuits and that they will file lawsuits against Sean John Combs every week.

Buzbee had previously announced that 120 people he represents, who claim to have been sexually assaulted and abused by Sean John Combs, would file lawsuits, and that half of them were men and half were women. It was later reported that new lawsuits had been filed against Combs, alleging that he had sexually abused 6 people, 4 of whom were men, including a 16-year-old child.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED PREVIOUSLY?

Sean John Combs was taken into custody on September 16 on charges of 'sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, holding captive, arson, drug possession, bribery, and obstruction of justice.' The 14-page indictment, made public on September 17, stated that Combs forced individuals into sexual acts during parties he called 'Freak Offs,' which lasted for days and were often recorded.

The indictment stated that Combs threatened victims by controlling their careers and subjected them to economic, psychological, verbal, and physical violence. Additionally, it was alleged that drugs were found during searches of his homes and that he offered bribes to victims to remain silent or provide false testimony.

Sean John Combs, who pleaded not guilty to all charges in the federal court in Manhattan, faces a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life imprisonment if convicted. The rapper's trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
