50,000 signatures collected for justice for Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi!

The call for justice continues following the death of 14-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who lost his life as a result of an attack while shopping at a flea market in Kadıköy. 50,000 signatures were collected in a short time for the campaign launched for Minguzzi on Change.org.

In the campaign where 50,000 signatures were collected in just one week, in addition to the demand that Minguzzi's killers be punished in the harshest way possible, regulations are also being requested regarding the monitoring of individuals with criminal records and the prosecution of families in cases involving offenders under the age of 18.

Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi's cellist mother, Yasemin Minguzzi, shared the campaign on her social media account and called for support. Yasemin Minguzzi said, "This attack is an attack on the rights of children living in Turkey to freedom and their right to live in safety. That is why this case must set a precedent and laws must change. Those who attack children, no matter how old they are, must be sentenced to the harshest punishment."

Merve Şahinkaya, who launched the campaign, used the following expressions in her statement:

"We will not accept Ahmet's killers benefiting from mitigating circumstances and returning among us shortly. This is both our debt of loyalty to his precious family who raised our Ahmet so beautifully, and our social responsibility on behalf of many innocent Ahmets who are condemned to the uncertainty of whether they will return home after leaving the house."

Support for the petition also came from famous names. Many celebrities such as Bergüzar Korel, Hazal Kaya, and Gülşen shared the campaign on social media and demanded justice for Ahmet.
