91 samples had been taken from her body: Heartbreaking development in the Narin Güran murder! Her ID was found in the sack...
91 different samples had been taken from the body of Narin Güran, who was brutally murdered in Diyarbakır and whose lifeless body was found 19 days after the impression was given that she had gone missing. As a new development occurs regarding the case, it has been learned that her ID card was also found inside the sack where Narin's lifeless body was discovered.
The investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, who was reported missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district in Diyarbakır and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later in the Eğertutmaz Stream, 2 kilometers from the village, continues.
As the murder investigation, in which 12 people are currently detained, enters its 41st day, it has still not been clarified who killed 8-year-old Narin.
Following the discovery of Narin's lifeless body, 91 samples were taken from the corpse before the standard autopsy procedure. A new development has occurred regarding the matter.
According to a report by Özgür Cebe from Sözcü, no evidence was obtained from the 91 samples taken from Narin's lifeless body.
According to information reflected in the investigation file, it was stated that Narin was found by a 5-person underwater search and rescue team on September 8 at 06:00 in the morning, at the point where the stream meets the soil, upon arriving at the coordinates 37.SBF 06008 89639.
It was noted that after Narin's body, which was found inside a sack wedged under a rock and covered with 3 stones, was brought to the shore along with the sack it was in, the prosecutor was notified.
CLASSIC AUTOPSY PERFORMED AFTER 91 SAMPLES WERE TAKEN
Following instructions from the prosecutor, the sack was torn open, revealing the two slippers Narin was wearing on the day she went missing, her lunchbox, and her Elifba (book for learning the Quran). To prevent the loss of evidence and to ensure a more qualified examination, the body and the sack it was in were transported to the Diyarbakır Forensic Medicine Institute Group Presidency in a body bag without disturbing their form.
The 3 large rock fragments used to cover the body were also brought to the Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK). A fluoroscopy procedure was performed before the body was removed from the sack.
Biological evidence and swab samples were collected from the body, which was subjected to molecular and genetic examination. A classic autopsy was performed after 91 samples were collected in a manner that would uncover all types of crimes, including abuse.
SAMPLES EXAMINED: NO DNA BELONGING TO A DIFFERENT PERSON FOUND
For toxicological examination of the corpse, 1 container of soil, 1 container of hair, 1 tube of bladder wash fluid, and 1 container each of muscle, stomach contents, liver, and kidney samples were collected from inside the sack. For entomological examination, dead larvae, live larvae, and pupae were collected from the corpse.
Samples of the brain, lungs, and subcutaneous tissue were taken for histopathological examination. For biological examination from the body, samples were collected from the swab taken from the bag at the head of the bed, slippers, t-shirt, undershirt, bag zipper, inside of the bag, rear part of the shorts swab, skirt, red headscarf, red plastic hair clip, pink button, pink bag, Elifba (primer), swab of the bag string at the foot of the bed, swab of the pink bag string tied to the sack, inner front swab of the panties, right and left groin swabs, oral, facial and chest swabs, inner and outer genital area swabs, hand and nail swabs, as well as 2 teeth that had fallen outside the sack and 1 toenail.
All these samples were sent to the Istanbul Council of Forensic Medicine. 91 samples were examined individually, but it was opined that no DNA findings belonging to different individuals were encountered.
SAMPLES WERE SEARCHED FOR ON THE PEN BATTERY IN HER POCKET, BUT NO RESULTS WERE FOUND
Another striking detail is that Narin's ID card was also found in the sack. The fact that even the ID of an 8-year-old child living in the village was placed in the sack in order to leave no evidence behind reveals how professionally the murder was committed.
Samples were also taken from a single AA battery found in the left pocket of his shorts to check for potential DNA evidence, but it was determined that no findings could be obtained from this either.
It was noted that the hair sample taken from the undershirt and shorts belonging to Narin was not included in DNA analysis studies because it did not contain a distinct root or root sheath. It was stated that one stain detected on the shorts was also not collected as it was unsuitable for DNA analysis.
NO PROFILE BELONGING TO MOTHER OR BROTHER
Among the 91 samples sent to the Istanbul Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK), an autosomal STR DNA profile was identified from the oral swab and FTA bloodstain samples taken from Nevzat Bahtiyar.
Furthermore, it was reported that findings on the body did not match the DNA profiles taken from the mother, Yüksel, and the older brother, Enes. It was also reported that the DNA quantity in the shorts, bag, and hair swab samples belonging to Narin was insufficient, and no DNA profile suitable for matching could be identified.
THOSE ROCK FRAGMENTS WERE ALSO EXAMINED BUT NO RESULTS WERE FOUND
Samples were taken from the 3 large rock fragments used to cover the sack in the stream bed where Narin's body was found, as it was assessed that they might contain blood, hair, saliva, mucus, nail, or fingerprint genotype-compatible DNA profiles.
A 2-hour examination was conducted on the stones brought to the Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK). It was determined that no different DNA profiles were found in the 3 rock fragments labeled BN 10, BN 10A, and BN 10B, nor in the swab samples taken from Narin's fingernails found at the scene.
While no evidence was obtained from the 91 samples collected regarding who the perpetrator or perpetrators of the murder might be, only the definitive cause of death for the young girl has been determined.
It was concluded that the victim died as a result of severe fractures to the thyroid cartilage in the neck region, followed by the manual obstruction of the mouth and nose, which led to the deprivation of oxygen to the trachea.
All eyes are now on the report regarding the image analysis sent to TÜBİTAK and the report expected from the samples sent to the Van Gendarmerie Regional Criminal Laboratory in order to obtain concrete evidence regarding the perpetrators.
