Lawyer Erkam Erdem announced that Mahir Polat, who has serious health problems, has been referred to the Council of Forensic Medicine.

In a statement made on the social media platform X, lawyer Erkam Erdem emphasized the severity of Mahir Polat's health condition. Stating that Polat's hypertension problem has persisted since the day he was arrested, Erdem said, "For this reason, he was referred to the hospital twice, once at a life-threatening level, and underwent an angiography. However, his blood pressure could not be brought under control after returning to prison. In the last measurement, his blood pressure value was at the 19-11 level."

''PRISON CONDITIONS POSE A RISK TO HIS HEALTH''

Stating that Mahir Polat's health is deteriorating further under prison conditions, Erdem noted that these life-threatening health problems can no longer be ignored.

Erdem stated, "Prison conditions are causing serious harm to Mr. Mahir's health. We believe that this situation will also be determined by the Council of Forensic Medicine so that the life risk can be eliminated. We entrust ourselves to Turkish physicians."
