A 53-year-old man living in the Battalgazi district of Malatya was found dead in the tent where he was staying. It is believed that the man, identified as Bayram Keskin, died of carbon monoxide poisoning from a stove he had connected inside the tent.
An incident that could be described as a summary of deepening poverty has occurred in Malatya. 53-year-old Bayram Keskin was found dead in the tent where he was living in the Battalgazi district of Malatya.
His wife, L.K., discovered 53-year-old Bayram Keskin lying motionless on the ground inside the tent he had set up on a vacant lot on Karabulut Street in the Battalgazi neighborhood at approximately 15:15, and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Upon the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene, and medical personnel determined that the individual had passed away. According to initial findings, the body of Bayram Keskin, who is believed to have been poisoned by carbon monoxide leaking from a stove, was transported to the forensic medicine institute following an examination.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
