AKP and CHP votes drop in latest election poll: The rate of those saying 'I will not vote' draws attention
Aksoy Research has shared the results of its general election poll conducted in September. According to the poll, while the vote shares of the AKP and CHP have declined, the rate of those stating 'I will not vote' has drawn attention.
While the discussions on early elections that began following the March 31 local elections continue to remain on the agenda, public opinion research companies are also continuing their polling efforts.
Most recently, Aksoy Research shared the results of its public opinion poll conducted in September.
In a survey conducted with 1,537 people across all 81 provinces of Turkey, participants were asked, "If a parliamentary election were held this Sunday, which party would you vote for?"
According to the survey results, it was observed that both the AKP and the CHP experienced a decline compared to the vote shares they received in the local elections.
Aksoy Research shared its general election poll with the note: “The research was conducted in all 81 provinces of Turkey with a sample size of 1537, at a 95% confidence interval and a 2.5% margin of error. The distribution of the parties' vote shares is as follows.”
Here are the parties' vote shares before the undecided voters are redistributed
CHP: 29.1 percent
AKP: 26.7 percent
MHP: 8.5 percent
I will not vote: 7.9 percent
DEM Party: 7.8 percent
Undecided: 4.7 percent
İYİ Party: 3.8 percent
New Welfare Party: 3.7 percent
Other: 3.1 percent
Victory Party: 3 percent
Workers' Party of Turkey: 1.3 percent
Saadet Party: 0.4 percent
After the undecided voters were redistributed, the results were as follows:
CHP: 32.6 percent
AKP: 30.5 percent
MHP: 9.9 percent
DEM Party: 8.3 percent
İYİ Party: 4.7 percent
New Welfare Party: 4.3 percent
Other: 4.1 percent
Zafer Party: 3.5 percent
Workers' Party of Turkey: 1.6 percent
Saadet Party: 0.5 percent
