The plot of Alice in Borderland

The series Alice in Borderland centers on a young man named Arisu. Although Arisu got into a good school, he dropped out; he is intelligent but does not take life seriously, spends his days playing video games, and is someone who has yet to step into the professional world... Arisu also has two childhood friends: Karube and Chota...

Karube is a character who works as a bartender, is tall, knows how to fight, and is good with women.

Chota, on the other hand, comes from a poor family, works as a white-collar employee at a company, and, as if his financial struggles weren't enough, is forced to give money to the cult his mother belongs to.

These three friends decide to meet up while having a bad day. They meet in a square. It is full of people. Suddenly, they decide to do something a little crazy. However, because of this recklessness, they cause a minor traffic accident.

They run away before the police arrive and hide in a subway restroom. While all three are in the restroom, the power suddenly goes out. When they come back out, there is no one around. Everyone is gone. In the square where thousands of people were just minutes ago, not a single person remains. No matter where they look, there is no one, and their phones have no signal.

When night falls, a message appears on a screen in the square. It is a sign inviting them to a game. The three friends go to the indicated location. There is something they do not know. The world they are living in is no longer the world they once knew. If they do not win the game, they will die. And this is not a one-time game. They are forced to participate in games that could end in death at certain intervals. Those who do not participate die.
