Another departure in the series Teşkilat, which made headlines with boycott controversy! Major changes in the cast
The series Teşkilat, a favorite on TRT, has been marked by a series of departure announcements. Aybüke Pusat was removed from the show after deleting a post following a boycott call. It was noted that another departure has occurred in the series.
Two departures are taking place simultaneously in the popular TRT production Teşkilat, which airs on Sunday evenings. Lead actress Aybüke Pusat has been removed from the series' cast due to a boycott call she made on social media.
TRT General Manager Zahid Sobacı, in a statement regarding the matter, indicated that Pusat's post did not align with TRT's corporate principles, stating, "The posts of an actor starring in the Teşkilat series are in no way compatible with TRT's corporate principles. The person in question has been removed from the series due to posts that also disappointed the viewers of the Teşkilat series."
SHE HAD MADE A BOYCOTT POST
Aybüke Pusat had made a post on her personal social media account on April 2 with the note, "We Are Not Making Purchases on April 2." Although she deleted this post, which supported one of the global economic boycott calls against Israel's attacks on Gaza, in a short time, the TRT management took this post into account and decided to remove the actress from the series.
ANOTHER DEPARTURE
Another departure from the series came from actor Murat Aygen. It was stated that Aygen, who has been portraying the character of Tufan in the series for a long time, will leave the team as required by the script. According to the report by journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the actor's farewell will take place with a pre-planned scene. Aygen's character will conclude in line with the plot determined in the series.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The "boycott" call made by university students to stop consumption on April 2, following the process that began after the İmamoğlu protests, resonated widely. Many figures, from politicians to artists, supported the consumption boycott and made calls. CHP leader Özgür Özel was one of these figures.
However, AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik reacted to Özel's support for the boycott by saying, "It is a total threat to Turkey." Shortly after Çelik's statement, an investigation was launched into the boycott posts.
Following the investigation launched one day before April 2 on charges of "hatred and discrimination" and "inciting the public to hatred and hostility," statements also came from the Presidential Cabinet: "Boycott calls are an attempt to sabotage the economy, they are an attempted coup against our economic independence! Those who suffer financial losses in their trade can file compensation lawsuits against those who make boycott calls."
