Singer Serdar Ortaç, who was released under house arrest as part of an investigation into the promotion of illegal betting, has had his concerts canceled.

The financial loss for Serdar Ortaç, whose 18 concerts were canceled due to his house arrest, has been revealed.

Müge Dağıstanlı, host of the magazine program 'Aramızda Kalmasın', announced that Ortaç's loss for just 1.5 months has reached 25 million TL.

Müge Dağıstanlı stated the following: "Serdar Ortaç's 18 concerts in Istanbul and outside of Istanbul, which were scheduled until the end of December, have been canceled due to his house arrest. His 1.5-month loss is 25 million TL. Actually, there is more to it."

The court to which singer Serdar Ortaç and showman Mehmet Ali Erbil were referred with a request for arrest, after being detained on charges of advertising illegal betting, had released them under the condition of house arrest.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office appealed this decision on the grounds that there was a "risk of flight" and requested the arrest of Ortaç and Erbil. However, the 15th Criminal Court of First Instance rejected this request.
