Application requirements and dates announced: 100 million TL support for retirees from IMM!

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has taken action to contribute to the market shopping of retirees who have been condemned to poverty-level wages.

Through the program called "Retiree Market Support," an annual market support of 10,000 TL will be provided to 10,000 retirees identified as being in need.

Applications for the Retiree Market Support, which was among the 2024 election promises of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, will begin on October 30.

Within the scope of the program, the IMM will make an annual payment of 10,000 lira to retirees living in Istanbul who have applied for social support and have been determined to be in need.

SUPPORT PAYMENT WILL BE MADE IN TWO EQUAL INSTALLMENTS

With the market support to be paid in two equal installments, a total of 100 million liras of support will be provided by assisting 10,000 retirees.

APPLICATIONS CAN BE MADE UNTIL NOVEMBER 8

According to the statement made by the IMM regarding the matter, applications for the Retiree Market Support will be accepted between October 30 and November 8.

Applications will be received via the İstanbul Senin application, the https://sosyalyardim.ibb.gov.tr/ website, and the Alo 153 Support line.

The application requirements have been set as follows: being a Turkish citizen, being a retiree aged 60 or over, residing in Istanbul, the applicant being a retired citizen, there being no income in the household other than a single pension, and the pension being lower than 17,002 TL.

The payments are planned to be made in two equal installments in November and December.
