Applications start today at 19:00: How to apply for a Green Card step-by-step?

To apply for a Green Card, you must visit the dvprogram.state.gov website.

Press the "Begin Entry" button to start.

Then you need to enter your first name in the "First Name" section and your surname in the "Last/Family Name" field.

Then, the gender and date of birth are entered in the format "month-day and year". 

Enter the place of birth as written on your ID or passport.

Enter the country where you were born. 

For the question in section 6, "Is your country of birth eligible for the Green Card?", mark it as "Yes". 

Upload a photo that meets the standards in the photo field specified in Article 7. 

Enter your residential address in item 8. 

Enter the country you reside in in item 9.

Enter your phone number in item 10 and your email address in item 11. 

Enter your diploma (high school, university, etc.) in item 12.

13. Enter your marital status.

14. Enter the number of your children. 

After the application is completed, make sure to note down the "Confirmation Number" that appears, and use this number to check your status once the results are announced.
