Ata Demirer and Gülse Birsel did not attend the funeral of Vural Çelik, the 'Kubilay' of Avrupa Yakası! They sent wreaths...

Actor Vural Çelik, who passed away at the age of 51, was laid to rest yesterday.

 At the funeral prayer held at noon at the Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque, the actor's mother, Cemile Çelik, and his sister, Kadriye Güzeloğlu, accepted condolences. 

Actor Yavuz Seçkin also described Çelik as having a friendly temperament and expressed his feelings as follows:

"I am as sad as if I had lost someone from my own family. We would message each other and joke around from time to time. He was someone with a beautiful heart, but at the same time, he was introverted and lonely. This is the general state of our industry. You think you have so many friends around you, but that is not the case. Vural experienced this too. May he rest in peace." 

Actor Sarp Apak stated, "He used to make us laugh and entertain us a lot on set. When we worked together, he had some health issues, but he didn't pay much attention to them. We came to perform our final duty; we are sad." 

Actor and presenter Şoray Uzun emphasized that Vural Çelik was a unique and wonderful person, saying: 

"He was a person whose every moment was full of humor. Of course, he had his troubles, but rather than talking about them, he would keep them inside. This is somewhat the fate and nature of comedy actors. We used to laugh and have a lot of fun. May he rest in light." 

On the other hand, Gülse Birsel and Ata Demirer, who acted with Çelik in 'Avrupa Yakası', did not attend his funeral. It was observed that Birsel and Demirer had sent wreaths.
