Turkish actor Burak Özçivit has made his debut in Russian cinema by taking a role in the 11th installment of Russia's famous New Year's film series, Yolki. In the film, which was shot in Tatarstan, Özçivit plays himself. The movie is set to be released in theaters in Russia on December 19.
Turkish actor Burak Özçivit has made his debut in Russian cinema by taking a role in the 11th installment of Russia's popular New Year-themed film series, Yolki.
Özçivit, who plays himself in the film, took part in a story inspired by the Cinderella fairy tale, with filming taking place in the city of Almetyevsk, Tatarstan.
According to a report by Izvestia, Özçivit was met with great interest during the filming, where he was welcomed with traditional Tatar delicacies and hospitality. In the film, the character played by Kristina Babushkina portrays a woman attempting to seduce Özçivit, while the details of the story have not yet been disclosed.
Babuşkina stated that working with Özçivit was a great pleasure and that the chemistry between them contributed significantly to the success of the scenes.
The film Yolki 11 will be released in Russia on December 19.
