Can Yaman's 'El Turco' production is conquering the world!

'El Turco', starring Can Yaman, has become a major phenomenon, continuing to break viewership records in the countries where it is broadcast.

The series, which attracted great attention even before its release by managing to enter IMDb's 'Most Anticipated Productions of 2025' list, has managed to reach record viewership ratings in the countries where it has been released.

Reaching a wide audience from the very first day it was broadcast in different geographies such as Brazil, Russia, Romania, and Honduras, the series was also presented to viewers in Turkey with all its episodes. El Turco will be broadcast in April in 33 different countries, including Italy, Middle Eastern countries, Panama, the Czech Republic, and America.

The series, which reached more than 15 million viewers by achieving a 26 share rating with its first episode broadcast on a national television channel, also became the most-watched series in the week it was released with all its episodes on the country's leading digital platform.

Attracting great interest in different regions such as Russia, Romania, and Honduras, El Turco has won the appreciation of millions of viewers and has taken its place among the most-watched content on the digital platforms of the countries where it is broadcast.

A MAJOR PRODUCTION OPENING FROM TURKEY TO THE WORLD

While the series, starring Can Yaman, impresses viewers with the performances of world-famous names Greta Ferro, Will Kemp, Veronica Ferres, and Kieran O’Reilly, Turkish actors Luk Piyes, Armağan Oğuz, and Hüseyin Danyal also contribute to the cast. El Turco offers a visual feast to viewers by blending history, action, and drama.

Written by Kerem Deren and Çisil Hazal Tenim and directed by Uluç Bayraktar, the series tells the true life story of Hasan Balaban, an Ottoman janissary who was wounded during the 1683 Second Siege of Vienna and turned into a legend in the Italian village of Moena.

Adapted from Orhan Yeniaras's book titled "El Turco: The Unknown Aspects of the Second Siege of Vienna," the series was filmed entirely in English. Brought to life on massive sets in Budapest, the production promises a cinematic experience with its high production quality.

WHERE WILL IT BE BROADCAST?

The series, which once again proves Turkey's global success in the television series sector, met with viewers on the GAİN platform with all its episodes as of April 2. El Turco, which is also attracting interest in Turkey, will soon be broadcast in 33 countries, including Italy (April 15) and Middle Eastern countries (April 18).
