Claims that 'daycare centers were closed' following the detention of İmamoğlu! Parents shared the messages they received
In a large-scale operation carried out in Istanbul this morning, numerous individuals, including Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, and Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık, were detained. Following the operation, claims emerged that daycare centers belonging to the Şişli Municipality had been closed. It was alleged that messages were sent to parents instructing them to pick up their children.
Turkey is closely following the operation conducted against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB).
Within the scope of the operation, numerous individuals, including İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, and Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık, were detained in the morning hours.
The detained individuals face accusations of 'being a leader of a criminal organization', 'being a member of a criminal organization', 'extortion', 'bribery', 'qualified fraud', 'unlawful acquisition of personal data' and 'rigging a tender'.
DAYCARE CLAIM BECOMES A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION
Following the detention decisions that have become a major topic of discussion in Turkey and the world, a notable claim has emerged. It was alleged that the daycares opened by the Şişli Municipality have been closed.
"PARENTS WERE ASKED TO PICK UP THEIR CHILDREN"
Journalist Canan Kaya shared a WhatsApp conversation sent to her by a viewer on her social media account.
In her post, Kaya stated, "A viewer sent this to me. Following the detention of Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, services at daycares affiliated with the Şişli Municipality were halted, and parents were asked to pick up their children."
