Confidentiality order issued in İnan Kıraç marriage annulment case

In the lawsuit filed to annul the marriage of businessman İnan Kıraç, it was decided to await the outcome of the guardianship case in the civil court of peace.

Lawyers for the parties attended the first hearing at the Anatolian 18th Family Court. Following the judge's decision to impose a confidentiality order, members of the press were not admitted to the hearing.

It was learned that the court decided to adjourn the hearing, opting to wait for the result of the guardianship case currently being heard at the Anatolian 2nd Civil Court of Peace before proceeding with the preliminary examination hearing.

WHAT HAPPENED?

İpek Kıraç, the daughter of businessman İnan Kıraç, filed a lawsuit seeking the annulment of her father's marriage to Emine Alangoya, which took place on December 20, 2024, claiming that he lacked the legal capacity to act.

The report prepared by the Council of Forensic Medicine within the scope of the case stated that Kıraç did not have the legal capacity to act and that a guardian should be appointed.

Based on the Council of Forensic Medicine report, which determined that he lacked legal capacity, the court had temporarily appointed lawyers Atakan Yılmaz and Mert Öztekin as guardians for Kıraç.

Meanwhile, the lawsuit filed at the Anatolian Civil Court of Peace to determine the permanent guardian is ongoing.
