Critical footage emerges in Narin Güran murder case: Is the mystery of the murder being solved?

Aggravated life imprisonment is being sought for 4 of the 12 suspects detained in connection with the murder of Narin Güran, whose body was found in a sack 19 days after she went missing in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır.

The first hearing was held on November 7 at the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court.

EXPERT REPORT EMERGES

The expert report stated that phone signals from Salim Güran's device show he arrived at the location where the body was found at 10:47 PM on the evening of August 21 and left 8 minutes later.

The Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that, in addition to this information, footage confirming that Salim Güran drove to and from the area where the body was found on the night of the incident has been examined.

Defendant Enes Güran's lawyer, Mustafa Demir, argued that HTS records lead to contradictions in pinpointing exact locations, stating, "The area where Narin's body was found is not a cornfield, but a cotton field. The area by the cemetery also appears as a cornfield. The narrowed base station report should be more precise."

CAMERAS LACK RECORDING FEATURE

The court panel ordered an examination of the footage from the 'Şahingöz' camera located at the military base near the crime scene.

However, according to information received from the gendarmerie, it was determined that the camera does not have a recording feature and can only be used for real-time monitoring.

DETENTION CONTINUES

At the end of the 3-day hearing, the court decided to continue the detention of the suspects and adjourned the case until December 26. During this period, it was decided that other camera footage from the scene would also be examined in detail.
