A decision from Minister Yusuf Tekin that will save Lieutenant Ebru Eroğlu and other lieutenants! 'Atatürk' circular sent to 76 thousand schools
An investigation was launched into Lieutenant Ebru Eroğlu and a group of lieutenants for reciting the oath "We are the soldiers of Atatürk" at the Military Academy Graduation Ceremony. It has emerged that a circular that would 'save the lieutenants from being dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces' was sent by the Ministry of National Education to 76 thousand schools 3 months ago.
The circular, signed by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin and published on August 14, 2024, was sent to the general directorates of the Ministry of National Education, 81 provincial governors, and provincial directorates of national education.
It was requested that the circular, which contains content regarding the continued raising of Atatürkist generations, be implemented in 76 thousand schools.
REFERENCE MADE TO THE CONSTITUTION
According to the report by Sultan Uçar from Sözcü; the first page of the 8-page circular numbered 2024/53 is dedicated to Atatürkism. In the circular, which emphasizes "Atatürk Nationalism," it is highlighted that raising the new generation as "Atatürk Nationalists" for the development of the country is a constitutional obligation.
In the circular signed by Yusuf Tekin, it was stated: "Our Ministry carries out education and training activities with sensitivity to raise individuals who are competent and virtuous, who possess free and scientific thinking power, and who adopt, protect, and develop our national, moral, humanitarian, spiritual, and cultural values, along with the Atatürk Nationalism expressed in the relevant article b of the constitution."
ENEMIES OF ATATÜRK CANNOT BE PROTECTED!
The content of the 'relevant article b of the Constitution' mentioned in the circular is as follows: "In line with the understanding of nationalism determined by the founder of the Republic of Turkey, the immortal leader and peerless hero Atatürk, and his reforms and principles, sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the Turkish nation.
No person or organization may act outside the liberal democracy shown in the constitution and the legal order determined by its requirements. The separation of powers does not mean superiority among state organs.
No activity can be protected against Atatürk nationalism, his principles, and reforms. As a requirement of the principle of secularism, sacred religious feelings can never be mixed with state affairs and politics."
