Demet Evgar reacts to 'normal birth' banner! 'Shame on you'

During the Fenerbahçe–Net Global Sivasspor match, the banner carried by Sivasspor players as they entered the pitch drew the ire of women. The banner, which read “Natural is normal birth” and included the statement “Unless medically necessary, cesarean section is not natural” underneath, caused many famous figures to protest as well.

Although Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu found the statements to be 'normal,' women's organizations issued statements expressing their reactions.

Many women opposed the state's directive and oppressive language on this issue.

Actress Demet Evgar also made headlines with her harsh statement. She expressed her reaction with the words, “You are the normal ones, we are the abnormal ones. Shame on those who carry that banner and shame on those who follow this lack of consciousness.”
