Do citizens want an early election? Two parties rose in the latest election poll, while some parties failed to even make the list!
Saros Research Company took the pulse of citizens regarding an early election. In a potential early election scenario, the vote shares of the CHP and YRP drew attention, while it was observed that the vote shares of some parties declined and some parties currently holding seats in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) failed to even make the list.
The 'early election' debates that began following the March 31 Local Elections continue.
Saros Research Company took the pulse of the citizens in this direction.
In a survey conducted between September 4-11 with 3,126 people across 30 metropolitan cities, citizens were asked the question: “In your opinion, should an early election be held in Turkey before 2028?”
47.8 percent of survey participants answered 'yes' to an early election.
While the rate of those saying no was 43.8 percent, 8.8 percent of the segment said 'I have no opinion'.
In the same survey, citizens were also asked the question, "If a parliamentary election were held this Sunday, which party would you vote for?"
The voting preferences of the citizens who participated in the survey were as follows:
CHP: 34.1 percent / May 14, 2023: 25.33 percent
AKP: 30.3 percent / May 14, 2023: 35.61 percent
DEM Party: 9.4 percent / May 14, 2023: 8.82 percent (Green Left Party)
MHP: 8.7 percent / May 14, 2023: 10.07 percent
New Welfare Party: 4.9 percent / May 14, 2023: 2.81 percent
İYİ Party: 3.8 percent / May 14, 2023: 9.68 percent
Victory Party: 2.6 percent / May 14, 2023: 2.23 percent
TIP: 2.4 percent / May 14, 2023: 1.73 percent
Other: 3.8
The DEVA Party, Future Party, Felicity Party, and Democrat Party, which entered Parliament from CHP lists in the May elections, failed to make the list.
