Dubai chocolate on the parliamentary agenda! 'The risk is great...'

Taking the floor at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly, CHP Adana Deputy Ayhan Barut reacted to the consumption of Dubai chocolate.

Calling on the government to take action to protect public health, Barut drew attention to the 'Risk' warnings from experts regarding Dubai chocolate consumption and said, "The government needs to take action against the craze of luxury and excessive consumption, especially to protect public health."

Barut stated, "There has been a virtual Dubai chocolate craze in our country and around the world recently. This craze, which is constantly pumped up through advertisements and promotions, encourages luxury consumption and drags our people into a deep impasse. This frightening situation, which is spreading especially among children, puts the health of both our children and our people at risk."

Reminding the assembly of the warnings voiced by experts regarding Dubai chocolate, Barut demanded that a solution be found and necessary measures be taken, noting the following:

"Experts state that mold and aflatoxin that may form in the ingredients of Dubai chocolate pose serious dangers to human health. Experts warn, 'Aflatoxin exposure can lead to acute and chronic poisoning.

It can result in liver damage, jaundice, digestive system disorders, and even death, and it increases the risk of liver cancer.' Come and hear this voice! The government needs to take action against the craze of luxury and excessive consumption, especially to protect public health."
