Dyson's "world's thinnest vacuum": PencilVac unveiled!
Dyson is preparing to launch another product that is set to be the talk of the town. The release date for the product, which will hit the market with the promise of being the "world's thinnest vacuum," has been announced.
WEIGHING ONLY 1.8 KILOGRAMS
Dyson has unveiled its new model, the PencilVac, which it claims is the "world's thinnest vacuum cleaner." Weighing only 1.8 kilograms and featuring an ultra-thin body with a 38 mm diameter, the vacuum promises high performance despite its compact design.
Technology firm Dyson, which frequently makes headlines with its products, is preparing to launch another product that is sure to be widely discussed.
Equipped with the smallest and fastest vacuum motor the company has ever developed, the PencilVac offers 55 AW (airwatt) of suction power thanks to its 28 mm motor that runs at 140 thousand revolutions per minute.
The new two-stage filtration system used in the device promises no loss of performance even as the dust bin fills up.
MINIMALIST DESIGN, MAXIMUM FUNCTIONALITY
The new model stands out with its design. The battery, motor, and all electronic components have been packed into a body that is only 38 mm thick.
Although the PencilVac is positioned as a successor to the Omni-glide model that Dyson launched in 2021, it has been designed to be thinner and lighter than the previous model.
The device features four conical rotating brushes in the cleaning head, which are referred to as "Fluffycone." This structure, which prevents long hair from tangling in the brush, directs hair toward the tip, allowing it to be easily separated.
Additionally, thanks to the design that extends to the edges, it offers effective performance in corner cleaning.
LED LIGHTING FOR BETTER DUST VISIBILITY
In this model, Dyson uses green LED lights instead of lasers to make dust on the floor more visible. Users can access information such as cleaning mode and battery life via a small LCD screen.
The PencilVac also holds the distinction of being the first vacuum model that can work integrated with Dyson's mobile application, MyDyson. Through this integration, users can receive maintenance alerts and access cleaning guides.
WHAT ARE THE DISADVANTAGES?
The thin design also brings some limitations. The PencilVac's head can only be used on hard floors, and the device offers limited performance on carpets. Furthermore, it does not convert into a handheld model.
Battery life is limited to 30 minutes in the lowest mode, but the battery is replaceable, and additional batteries will be available for purchase.
RELEASE SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
The PencilVac will first be released in Japan within 2025. The arrival date and price of the product in Turkey have not yet been announced.
