Father of Ayşenur, murdered by Sur killer Semih Çelik, speaks out: He explained by saying 'I hadn't heard'

In Istanbul, 19-year-old Semih Çelik brutally murdered Ayşenur Halil and İkbal Uzuner before jumping from the walls in Edirnekapı to commit suicide.

According to a report in Sabah, while the investigation into the murders continues, the statement of the father of Ayşenur Halil, who was murdered by Semih Çelik, has emerged.

Recounting the day of the incident, the father stated that he had never heard the name of the killer, Semih Çelik, before.

“I HAD NEVER HEARD OF HIM UNTIL THAT DAY”

Stating that they learned the truth after being called to the police station, Ayşenur's father said, "I had never heard Semih's name until that day.

-I do not know Semih at all.

-We thought she was at school.

-My daughter had left the house saying, 'I am going to school.' We learned what had happened when the police said, 'You need to come to the police station,'" he said.
