Fenerbahçe eliminates Lugano, UEFA country coefficient updated: What is our ranking?
The UEFA country coefficient has been updated following Fenerbahçe's 2-1 victory over Lugano at home in the Champions League second qualifying round second leg.
Fenerbahçe, one of our representatives in Europe, has successfully advanced to the next round of the UEFA Champions League by defeating its opponent 2-1 in the second leg of the second qualifying round, following their 4-3 victory in the first match.
The Yellow-Navies secured the victory with a goal scored by Szymanski in the 90+3rd minute, and this win, which came in stoppage time, brought a deep sigh of relief regarding our country's coefficient ranking.
This goal by Szymanski allowed us to maintain our 9th place in the country coefficient rankings. In the event of a draw, Czechia would have been ranked above us.
