The first-ever "Horse Festival" held in the Ürgüp district of Nevşehir has become a meeting point for horse lovers.
Organized by the Nevşehir Municipality, the event, which will continue from November 15-17, has begun at the Ürgüp Festival Grounds.
FREE HORSE RIDING OPPORTUNITIES ARE OFFERED
Horses, carefully prepared by their riders, participated in a parade through the streets of the district, and free horse riding opportunities were offered to adults and children in the designated arenas.
DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN TOURISTS WATCHED THE HORSES BEING LED IN THE AREA
Sabiha Özkan, one of the participants in the event, told an AA reporter that she was happy to encounter the festival during their family trip to Cappadocia.
Stating that they came to Cappadocia from Bursa, Özkan said, "My daughter has an interest and love for horses. There are very beautiful horses here, and we are waiting for our turn to ride."
Expressing that she shared in the excitement of the children at the festival area, Şahin said, "We had seen horses while touring Göreme and Uçhisar. We participated in a hot air balloon tour as a family. Our people should see these places. As we travel, we see the beauties of our country."
As part of the festival, a "most beautiful horse competition" will also be held in the district tomorrow.
