Flash snow warning for Istanbul from the Ministry!
A warning regarding the expected snowfall in Istanbul and Ankara has also come from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change issued warnings in a statement on social media, citing the latest weather forecast report from the MGM (Turkish State Meteorological Service).
The statement included the following: "According to the latest weather forecast report from our General Directorate of Meteorology; cold and rainy weather is expected to be effective across the country starting Tuesday, February 18, with temperatures dropping by 8 to 12 degrees on Wednesday, February 19, and strong snowfall expected in some parts of the northern, inner, and eastern regions of our country. It is important to follow early warnings against potential snowfall, icing, and frost events."
In the message, which also included a snow warning for Ankara and Istanbul, the following statements were made:
"Sleet is expected in Ankara on Tuesday, February 18, and snow is expected on Wednesday. In Istanbul, snowfall will be effective on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday."
